The Marketing Assistant is a vital role in supporting the teams that run global campaigns that are executed by Virgin Music Group with artists signed direct to Virgin, or particular artist projects from our large and growing network of independent label partners. Based in our London office you will be given the opportunity to engage in multi-disciplinary areas of UK and global marketing at an entry level. It is a dynamic, varied and challenging role that requires nimbleness, openness to change and a confident communications manner, backed up by an enthusiasm for learning about many aspects of the music business.
You will be responsible forSupporting team(s) of marketing executives and project leads in their roles building and executing complex global artist campaigns
Arranging and assisting in the running of regular team functions e.g. arranging meetings, organizing agendas, taking and distributing meeting notes, etc.
Assisting with the management of financial budgets and tracking
Learning key production processes and systems, reporting tools, as well as writing asset briefs and creating decks
Maintaining the organization and archiving of assets and deliverables, chasing up, collating and disseminating key campaign assets (e.g. advertising, artwork, audio, publicity assets, etc.)
Organizing ticket buys and requests
Organizing couriers of promotional stock, merch items, etc.
Planning promotional schedules and where required being on-hand during promo trips
Supporting the execution of artist-based events e.g. interview-based promotion, instore performances at retail, etc.
Updating contact databases and sheets
