Marketing Assistant

to join our marketing team based in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Summary:

As a Marketing Assistant at Scientific Laboratory Supplies Ltd (SLS), you will support the Marketing team in the delivery of day-to-day marketing operations. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, you will assist in organising exhibitions and trade shows, maintaining stock and logistics for promotional materials, and supporting campaign delivery across the SLS Group. You will work closely with Marketing Executives and Managers to ensure marketing activities run smoothly and materials are delivered on time and to the right standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the marketing team with logistics for major trade shows and exhibitions. Manage and coordinate tabletop exhibitions, including packing, shipping, tracking and replenishing stock. Keep the marketing storeroom tidy, organised, and accurately stocked. Monitor and maintain marketing collateral levels to support ongoing campaigns. Assist with email distribution, campaign setup and internal communications. Liaise with internal teams and suppliers to support marketing logistics and material coordination. Draft and proofread basic marketing content including social posts, product descriptions, and email text. Ensure consistency and accuracy of all content and materials. Support the Marketing Executives in delivering planned promotional activity.

Ideal Candidate:

Degree or college-level education in a relevant subject (marketing, business, communications, or similar).

Strong attention to detail.

Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently when required.

Willingness to work in the office, even when other team members are remote.

Comfortable taking feedback and applying it constructively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills (including spelling and grammar).

Basic understanding of marketing practices and promotion methods.

Confidence using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn marketing tools and systems.

Interest in scientific communications is desirable but not essential.
