Role Overview
We're looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant to join our team and support a wide range of marketing activities--from content creation and influencer outreach to campaign scheduling and research. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social media and eager to take an active role in driving our online presence. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
Schedule and manage posts across LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and X.
Engage with customers (respond to comments and questions).
Assist in planning and scheduling Meta adverts (knowledge and experience desirable but not required, training can be provided).
Film and edit short-form social content aligned with current trends.
Support UGC (user-generated content) initiatives and creator outreach.
Help develop creative ideas for business storytelling and seasonal campaigns.
Email & Communications
Create and schedule email campaigns (Mailchimp).
Maintain and clean email contact lists.
Assist with email sign-up competitions and promotional outreach.
Influencer & Community Engagement
Conduct influencer outreach and manage bookings.
Research and identify new influencers and collaboration partners.
Coordinate product shipments and follow-up communications.
Research & Planning
Assist with research tasks such as sourcing props, shoot locations (e.g. Airbnbs), and gathering quotes.
Support planning for events, launches, and press outreach.
Contribute ideas during campaign brainstorming sessions.
Help build mood boards or inspiration decks for shoots and seasonal campaigns.
Analysis & Reporting
Conduct competitor analysis across social media, websites, and product offerings.
Track and report on content performance and engagement metrics.
Monitor trends in food, social media, and digital marketing to inform weekly planning.
Design & Visuals
Create basic graphics and visual assets (e.g. Instagram stories, promotional visuals).
Assist with design tasks.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic design and editing skills (Canva, Photoshop).
Basic video editing (Capcut, Adobe or similar)
Organised, detail-orientated, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Creativity and initiative. Willing to suggest new ideas and take ownership of tasks.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a marketing or administrative role is a plus.
A formal qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is desirable but not essential.
