Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and driven Campaign Manager. You will take the lead on the development and execution of innovative and effective campaigns to help us achieve our strategic aims. Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will build effective and robust relationships to ensure that you can deliver appropriate messaging and calls to action to target audiences.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Digital Communications with one direct report, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our key target audiences receive timely, user-focused messaging.
We are in a period of change at the RCVS, developing new systems and platforms to support our communications. We are open to reviewing and updating our approach to campaigns so there will be opportunities to contribute new ideas to our ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
We will need you to...
Take the lead on the planning, execution and evaluation of campaigns to help us achieve our strategic objectives.
Commission and develop compelling campaign collateral from both Communications colleagues as well as external suppliers.
Establish an annual campaign calendar incorporating 'always on' and one-off campaigns.
Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure campaign strategies and tactics meet organisational requirements and user needs. Use evidence and best practice to explain decisions made and balancing competing priorities.
Take a user-focused approach to your work. Ensure there is a joined-up approach to communications that our audiences are receiving from both a timing and messaging perspective.
Be comfortable with constructively challenging established ways of working to achieve agreed objectives.
Use test-and-learn principles to continually adapt campaign messaging and/or creative collateral.
In collaboration with Communications colleagues, review our existing supplier roster and take action to fill any creative or operational gaps.
Ensure campaigns are accessible and reflect our diversity and inclusion values.
Attend Committee and other governance meetings as appropriate, to engage with key stakeholders and subject matter experts and explain end-to-end campaign management.
Regularly review our channels of communication to ensure they are still relevant. Identify new opportunities for different channels to achieve our aims.
We would also like you to:
Help to keep up a positive and collaborative working environment.
Provide guidance and support about campaign best practice to Communications colleagues.
Engage positively with your direct report, the Senior Marketing Communications Officer, encouraging ongoing professional development.
Support other areas of work in the Communications Team, as may be reasonably requested by your line manager.
Essential Qualifications
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or with equivalent experience.
Ideally, you will have undertaken recent, relevant learning or training.
Essential skills, knowledge & experience
We need you to have...
Proficiency in developing and delivering effective marketing and communications plans, strategies and campaigns in a complex organisation.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. The ability to prioritise and structure work schedules.
Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems
Experience of agency, freelancer and supplier management, including the ability to on-board new suppliers.
An appreciation of strategic brand management and how to ensure campaigns reinforce our brand strategy.
An innovative approach to your work, developing engaging and impactful campaign content and strategies.

Experience of working with customer relationship management systems (CRMs) to automate messaging and calls to action.
The ability to analyse data and metrics to evaluate campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
The gravitas and professional expertise to communicate with colleagues and make yourself understood.
The ability to drive action and decisions, establishing and maintaining a sense of momentum to ensure delivery to agreed timelines.
