Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Reporting to:

General Manager

Rate of pay:

26,390 per annum/14.50 per hour (pro-rata based on a 35 hour full-time work week)

Hours:

24 hours per week (working days to be agreed)

Based:

Remake Scotland, Unit 2, Muthill Road, Crieff with flexibility for some remote working.

Contract Type:

Permanent Contract

Holiday entitlement:

177.5 hours per year (including public/bank holiday entitlement)

Role Overview:



We are seeking a creative and strategic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to lead on all aspects of Remake's communications. You will develop and implement an integrated marketing plan to grow awareness of our environmental impact, increase engagement with our diverse projects and services, and support delivery of our mission to inspire sustainable living and a circular-economy.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Strategy & Planning



Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy across digital, print, and events channels and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) related to marketing performance in alignment with the organisation's strategic goals. Highlight the breadth of Remake's work, including our Reuse Hub, Tool Library, Repair Hub, Food for Good, Climate Cafes, Local Maker Talks, outreach programmes & volunteer project. Develop Remake's brand identity, ensuring consistent tone, visuals, and messaging. Produce and manage clear brand guidelines and support staff and volunteers in applying them. Support with a marketing budget development and monitoring.

Content Creation & Digital Marketing

Lead and coordinate marketing for events and workshops from planning through to promotion and impact reporting. Produce content for signage, flyers, posters, brochures, and other materials. Create monthly newsletters to promote event signups and share community impacts and write case studies and press releases to share impact stories and increase community awareness. Manage and grow social media presence by creating engaging, mission-aligned content. Prioritising increased engagement across existing platforms initially and expanding onto new platforms in alignment with the marketing strategy developed. Support website content creation and updates to increase engagement and brand awareness. Monitor engagement and analytics to support KPI delivery.

Media, Press & Campaigns

Develop and deepen PR relationships with local press, media partners, and radio stations to better highlight Remake's work and impact. Vet and pursue opportunities for media coverage and visibility. Ensure all promotional materials and images have appropriate consents and maintain an organised library of stock photos. Organise and attend events and local campaigns, liaising with suppliers and external partners as needed.

Branding & Signage

Produce and update signage, including banners and vehicle graphics as required. Ensure physical branding reflects Remake's identity across all public-facing sites and events.

Additional Responsibilities



You will also contribute to the wider work of the team by:

Providing helpful and accurate information to customers and visitors, both online and in person, maintaining high standards of service. Supporting community outreach and maintaining strong relationships with local partners. Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. Working occasional evenings or weekends to support events and community engagement. Taking on other reasonable duties as needed to support Remake's aims.

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Essential Skills & Experience



A commitment to Remake's values and mission A minimum of two years' experience in marketing, communications, or digital media or degree in this subject. Strong written and visual communication skills and teamworking abilities. Experience with managing social media platforms and content scheduling. Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Office 365. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and a varied work-load. Strong attention to detail, especially for proofreading and branding consistency. Experience producing content across digital and print formats.

Desirable Skills & Experience



Knowledge of the third sector, social enterprises or sustainability communication. Experience organising and promoting community events. Experience using website CMS and analytics tools. Experience developing brand guidelines and tone of voice documents. Knowledge of design, photography or videography. Experience of strategy, budget & KPI development. Full, clean driving license.
