Purchase materials and capture delivery performance. Processing payments from scrap and any returns to stores.
Responsibilities Purchasing materials using corporate systems, supported by direction from materials planner in line with purchasing strategy
Processing information relating to materials requested, invoices, scrap processing and allocating values to appropriate cost centre
Maintaining records of all transactions processed with up-to-date information
Working with suppliers to understand material availability & update internal stock records with lead times
Reviewing companies internal stock records to assess procurement or purchase
Respond, investigate & resolve delivery and invoice queries
Track purchase orders through from approvals to delivery. Escalate any concerns to materials planner
Support the Inventory Analyst to provide reporting information in relation to accuracy & timeliness of various processes such as goods purchased and delivered, scrap, returns and payments
Support the Stores Assurance Lead to complete regular reviews of policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure they remain fit for purpose and applicable
Identify and support implementation of innovative and Continuous Improvement practices being utilised across Water Industry and Supply Chain Industry. Actively identify opportunities to reduce cost and maximise value
