Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of materials and ensuring that all inventory is handled safely and effectively. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods safely. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control. Handle materials with care, performing heavy lifting as required to move products within the warehouse. Maintain an organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for effective inventory tracking. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise. Experience in construction or related fields can be an asset, particularly for heavy lifting tasks. A valid forklift licence is required for operating machinery within the warehouse setting.
