We believe housing is about people, with our tenants genuinely at the heart of everything we do.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join our customer focused business, managing our mechanical and electrical services across the city. With a mandate to provide efficient and effective services for our tenants, by further improving our ways of working using our well-established in-house workforce and contractors.

You will be seeking out opportunities which enhance and develop our services for maximum efficiency, value for money and high levels of customer satisfaction.

This is an exciting opportunity to:

Work with the in-house team and select contractors delivering gas servicing, heating instals, electrical testing, electrical upgrade programmes, Biomass and district heating schemes, passenger lift and domestic stair lifts and hoist maintenance, water testing providing appropriate compliance with all services across the City of Doncaster. Make a difference to St. Leger Home's customers by improving how we interact with our customers and internal stakeholders. Work with colleagues to support and embed a change and performance culture across the business, supported by effective systems, processes and practices. Understand what our asset management strategy is telling us, to plan effective and efficient future mechanical and electrical programmes using our stock information, working closely with our asset colleagues. Explore our current ways of working, with a view to developing a more flexible working approach with our in-house workforce. Develop our future workforce requirements, to deliver our planned aspirations, while developing future resource models and further develop our apprenticeship pathways.

You'll be joining a well-established and supportive team working across the city. In this role, you will help to bring together different areas of the organisation that have an impact on all our mechanical and electrical services, so you'll have the confidence to lead colleagues and peers, provide supportive challenge and empower individual team members to contribute to the bigger vision.

About you

Be forward thinking and be used to project management and commercial acumen, having had experience of leading legislatively complaint projects of various sizes that also provide value for money. As a naturally inquisitive individual, you'll be comfortable asking those probing questions, analysing, and understanding information and data and using this to make sound reasoned decisions and recommendations. You'll have a talent for developing positive relationships, a confident communicator with the ability to confidently influence by bringing on board colleagues at all levels.

You'll have the motivation, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility and, at times, tenacity to deliver this exciting brief and help enable the organisation to improve on our already excellent services.
