We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility and enhancing the patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations effectively.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to facilitate care.
- Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing and data entry.
Skills
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a medical or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care and service delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
This position has become available due to a in house structural change in staff. The ideal candidate will be available to work the following pattern and be willing to cover any sickness or holiday absences:
Monday: 13:00pm - 18:15pm
Tuesday: 07.45 - 13:00pm
Thursdays: 13:00pm - 18:00pm
