Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our Medical Centre based in the city. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with prior office or administrative experience who are eager to contribute to patient care.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using practice management software. Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, updating personal details and medical histories securely. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and correspondence. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth daily operations. Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times.

Qualifications



Prior office or administrative experience is essential; experience within a healthcare setting is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner. Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office Suite; familiarity with medical practice management systems is desirable. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information are paramount. Experience using multiple software packages. Good IT skills.
Our practice is based in the city centre. There is no parking available.

Hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm / Monday to Friday - no flexibility with this.
