Northcote Surgery based in the West-End of Glasgow is looking for enthusiastic receptionists to join our team. We provide a dedicated and personalised service to our growing 12,000+ patient list.

We are a friendly, high achieving training practice with a multidisciplinary clinical team consisting of 6 GP Partners, 3 assistant GP's, 2 GP trainees, 2 Nurses, and 2 HCA's. In addition we have a large, strong management and administrative team to support both patients and staff. To augment our clinical offering we also have Pharmacy and Physiotherapy support based in the surgery.

We are currently offering a part time medical receptionist post (hours flexible) with a rate of pay during the training/probationary period of 12.21 per hour, rising to 12.60 per hour on satisfactory completion of the probationary period (normally 6 months). You will have the option to enrol into the NHS pension scheme which is one of the most comprehensive and generous schemes in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be computer literate. The Surgery is extremely busy and so you must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations, whilst upholding service delivery standards at all times.

You will be required to assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective manner. Provide general assistance to all members of the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person, via the telephone or by any other communication means.

Experience with Emis or Vision (we will be migrating to Vision within the next 2 years) and Docman is preferred but not essential.
