Responsibilities
Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team
Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patients and checking names and address.
Ability to cover all reception positions as necessary and all the tasks associated with the reception team. This includes, and is not limited to: Incoming post, Outgoing post Emails, Task Box, Patient registrations, Recalls, GP Links
Explain Practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover and ensure procedures are completed.
Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection
To assist patients with any other request such as providing them with updates about
Communicate effectively with patients
Experience:
Experience of working within a health care setting desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Experience of clerical and administrative work
Experience and good understanding of operating Microsoft Office including Word,
Experience of working in a GP practice
Excellent organisational skills meticulous with good time management
Ability to work alone and part of a team and promote a good team spirit
Ability to make decisions, use own initiative
Positive attitude & self-motivated
