We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Handle incoming calls, responding to inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Process patient registrations and insurance information.
Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow.
Experience
Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, particularly within a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
Sidcup Medical Centre currently has 4 sites and you will need to be able to work at each of these sites as per the needs of the rota. The sites are in DA14, DA15, DA5 and DA6.
You must be able to start at 8AM for our morning shifts and finish at 6.30PM for our afternoon shifts.
