Gwalchmai Surgery is seeking a friendly, confident, and adaptable person to join our small, supportive team. We are a busy GP practice providing high-quality care to our local community, and we are looking for someone who understands the importance of compassion, confidentiality, and teamwork within primary care.
This is a reception-based role with the opportunity to train in dispensing and phlebotomy. We are happy to consider two part-time positions or one full-time post, and full training will be provided.
Main Duties of the Job
Greeting patients and managing telephone and face-to-face enquiries
Booking appointments and processing repeat prescriptions
Supporting clinical staff with administrative and dispensary duties
Undertaking training in dispensing and phlebotomy as required
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide excellent patient care
About You
Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn new skills
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service environment is desirable
Must have own transport, as the role may involve working across two sites
Welsh speaker desirable but not essential
To include 8am start and 630pm finish.
