Job Description

Membership Secretary (25 hours)

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Membership Management:



Processing new membership applications.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date member records, including contact information and membership status.

Managing membership renewals and cancellations.

Liaising with the Executive Coordinator on financial aspects of membership, such as payment methods and overdue fees.

Ensuring compliance with data protection legislation (e.g., GDPR).

Ensuring member Insurance is always up to date.

Liaising with Insurers to process affinity fee & member insurance updates on CRM

Communication and Engagement:



Responding to membership inquiries and providing information about the organisation.

Communicating with members about upcoming events, deadlines, and other relevant information.

Assisting with the production and distribution of newsletters, promotional materials, and other publications.

Liaising with other committee members to ensure effective communication.

Recruitment and Retention:



Working on initiatives to attract new members.

Following up with lapsed members to understand reasons for non-renewal.

Initiating and overseeing recruitment drives.

Reporting and Administration:



Assisting with providing regular updates to the executive committee on membership numbers, trends, and any relevant issues.

Maintaining and reporting on membership statistics.

Preparing reports for committee meetings and AGMs.

Assisting with the organisation of events and activities.

Skills and Qualifications:



Proficient in use of Microsoft Word

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using membership management software and databases.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of data protection regulations.

A keen eye for detail

Ability to multitask and act when needed in an area outside of your day-to-day duties to meet the demands of the business.

Adaptability.

A good sense of humor and a desire to work within the Chiropractic profession is a bonus!

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00 per year
