What
you'll be responsible for:
Manage supplier sales forecasting, PO planning, PO creation and intake for Own Brand and 3rd Party product
Setting Re-Stock Levels for 3rd Party Suppliers, managing stocks down for quiet sales period and building up for peak
Work with Head of Merchandising to build sales forecasts ahead of the Financial Year, tying into business budgets
Work with Head of Merchandising to maintain a supplier driven WSSI to build accurate views of future stock positions. Carry out actions to address potential issues and manage risk
Assess monthly sales, help identify positive and negative trends. Look to flag issues and potential actions to address - working with the Buying and Marketing teams to build robust contingency actions
Weekly reporting on Sales, Stock and Out Of Stock. Highlight key metrics to focus on and carry out additional investigation where measures warrant a more detailed explanation
Maintain regular communication with suppliers; ensure adherence to delivery schedules. Raise issues as relevant, communicating to other functions as and when necessary
Join up with Buying on new Own Brand and 3rd Party line introductions to select commercial ranges that add to the brand offering. Plan sales and raise appropriate buys
Manage product pricing uploads for both new and existing products across all territories and customer types
Placing Made-To-Order priority orders with Own Brand suppliers and link in with the Customer Success team on delivery maintenance to deliver best in class customer service
Work cross-functionally representing Merchandising in meetings on Campaign Planning, New Line Launches and Product Development Critical Path
Carry out ad hoc analysis as required based on business performance to support informed decision making; helping to guide other functions through insight provided to aid best decision making
Assess slow moving/old stocks and set discount levels to work through, balancing business markdown aspirations with sell-though rate
Be the key link between Move Dance and our global freight forwarder. Stay informed on freight challenges and also arrange clearance documents for goods arriving in UK by Sea and Air
What you will need to succeed:
Minimum 2 years experience in a Buying & Merchandising function ideally within a Retail environment
Highly numerate with a strong commercial focus
Proficient in Excel and confident transforming data from various sources
Strong organisational skills to manage a varied workload
Able to identify opportunity for change and manage with wider business
Happy moving between detailed work and higher level, topline tasks
Confident, positive, friendly attitude
Comfortable making decisions based on the best information at hand
Advanced skills using Microsoft Office/Google suite
