Job Description

Tom Martin & Company Ltd is a long-established non-ferrous metals processing company based in Trafford Park, and have a vacancy for the role of Baling Machine Operative / Yard Operative to work OUTDOORS on a two shift pattern, which alternates each week. 06.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 22.00. (39 hours per week) These are permanent positions.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in a manufacturing / production / recycling environment.

Ideally, you will also hold a current counter-balance FLT licence, or 360 excavator licence, and whilst this is not essential, there are bonus payments on top of the basic pay for those who hold these licences.

The position offers 22 flexible days of holiday (pro-rata) and all Bank Holidays.

The business closes between Christmas and the New Year. Those with 6 month's service will be paid during this shutdown with no requirement to use holiday entitlement to cover.

The standard rate of pay for this starting role is equivalent to 13.46 per hour (12.21 per hour plus a 10.00 per day shift completion bonus). This is reviewed at least annually. This rate applies to all age categories.

Plant training will be available and skills enhancement bonus available for FLT, Telehandler, and 360 Excavator.

Monthly bonus of 100 for full attendance.

Full PPE, workwear and training provided. We offer a skills based bonus payment upon successful completion of training in the operation of specific plant and equipment. This then becomes a permanent addition to your wage.
