Overview:

A position has arisen for a Minister of Religion to assist the pastoral team in running the Church. This is a full-time and crucial ministerial role geared towards the growth and expansion of the ministry. This is a leadership position. In line with our church vision and mandate, the post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.

Responsibilities:

Assist the pastoral team in all ministry activities and help HolyWord City Church fulfill her vision and mandate. Prepare and deliver sermons Lead the service both in person and online Conduct Bible study sessions Provide Christian Counseling to those in need within the congregation and in the wider society. Conduct marriages, funerals, baptisms, and other rites and special church celebrations. Administer the Holy Communion Provide pastoral care to members of the congregation in their homes and hospitals Offer counsel to those in need of spiritual or moral guidance. Support the wider church teams and projects Develop fruitful partnerships with other organizations in the society Perform other duties as allocated by the senior Pastor.
Requirements:

Strong public speaking skills to deliver impactful sermons and teachings Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse congregants Passion for educating others on faith-based principles Ability to engage with the community and build relationships Advanced level Counselling Skills Exceptional degree of professionalism Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment Ability to prioritize and make informed decisions within a religious environment Ability to multi-task and remain self-motivated. A good team Player A strong command of English Language is required.
Person specifications

The candidate must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. The candidate should hold an advanced degree with Christian Counseling specialization with experience in marital counseling and in working with Psychologically Traumatized people. The candidate should have over 10 years' experience as a church pastor or assistant church pastor.
