Job Description

South West Building Maintenance are looking for Multi-Skilled Tradespersons in the South Wales.

A professional who possesses expertise in multiple construction trades and can perform a wide range of tasks on a construction site. You will be valued for your versatility and ability to handle various aspects of a project, potentially including carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, tiling, and general maintenance. You will also be involved in renovations, repairs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Diverse Trade Skills:

As a multi-skilled tradesperson, you will be proficient in multiple trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance.

Installation and Repair:

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various systems and structures within buildings and facilities.

Responsive Maintenance and Repairs:

Handle reactive maintenance, void works, and property MOTs, completing tasks within required deadlines.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve issues related to their trade areas and escalate complex problems as needed.

Health and Safety:

Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices.

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with customers, maintain appointment schedules, and ensure properties are left in an acceptable condition.

Teamwork and Collaboration:

Work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other tradespeople and support staff.

Adaptability:

Adapt to changing work environments and prioritize tasks based on project needs.

Examples of tasks you may perform:

Fitting kitchens and bathrooms. Carrying out basic plumbing and electrical work. Performing carpentry repairs and installations. Undertaking general building maintenance and repairs. Responding to emergency repairs and maintenance requests. Assisting with property refurbishments and renovations.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, (transport/uniform provided)

CSCS Asbestos awareness DBS
(certificates required) If applicable.

Previous training in any of the following would be an advantage:

SMSTS SSSTS, Working at Height First Aid
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
