We are seeking an enthusiastic
Recorder Tutor / Supervisor
to run an after-schoolRecorder Club
at a primary school inKidderminster
. This role offers children the opportunity to develop musical skills, rhythm, and confidence while learning to play the recorder in a fun and supportive environment.The club runs
Tuesdays, 3:00pm - 4:00pm
(1 hour per week
).Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children during recorder sessions. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that develop musical skills and teamwork. Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment in learning a woodwind instrument. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding children's progress. Ensure instruments and the music space are safe, organised, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
Experience teaching or tutoring children in music, particularly woodwind instruments. Ability to motivate and engage children in a structured yet enjoyable way. Strong English communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and school staff. A background in music education, performance, or teaching is desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
Work Location: In person
