The Opportunity

At Holcim, we're looking for a National Business Development Manager to lead growth across our Specialist Sands markets.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the commercial strategy for one of the UK's most respected specialist sand businesses, with a focus on high-grade, dried and technical sands used in applications such as dry silo mortar, cask stonework, boilers, adhesives, fillers and beyond.

You'll manage a mix of key accounts and new business development, working closely with our commercial, technical and operational teams to identify and convert new opportunities.

Whether you're engaging directly with manufacturers, engineering firms or global buyers, this role is about building long-term, high-value relationships.

Working closely with manufacturers, contractors, engineers, and public sector stakeholders, you'll become a trusted partner--offering tailored solutions that meet their needs while supporting more sustainable ways of working. Our surplus and alternative materials offer huge potential. You'll play a key role in helping customers see what's possible--bringing fresh thinking and unlocking value in both new and established markets. With a sharp eye on the market, you'll help us stay ahead of trends, regulations and opportunities--particularly in sectors ready for positive disruption. This isn't just about strategy on paper. You'll work hand-in-hand with our technical and operational teams to turn ideas into practical products that benefit customers and the planet. Whether it's delivering CPDs, sharing case studies, or representing Holcim at key industry events, you'll champion our commitment to building a better, more sustainable future. This is a national role, and while you'll need to spend time on the road, every visit is a chance to build relationships, solve challenges, and make a difference--locally and at scale.

Who you are

As someone who's commercially minded, you're always looking for ways to create value--whether that's through stronger client partnerships, new market opportunities, or more sustainable solutions. You understand the importance of building trust and take pride in developing relationships that last. You're comfortable engaging with a wide range of people and confident presenting ideas that challenge the norm. You care about making a difference and want to work for a business that shares your commitment to innovation and sustainability. You're someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving real-world challenges, and isn't afraid to get stuck in--whether it's on site, with clients, or alongside technical teams.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
