The Role
Health is One is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and develop a newly established Neurodiversity Assessment and Support Service. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact by shaping services that support individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurodivergent profiles.
As Service Manager, you will oversee the strategic development and operational delivery of neurodiversity support services. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure high standards of care and support, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders, including individuals, families, clinicians, educators, and commissioners.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of neurodiversity services delivered through the NeuroPathways Clinic
Line-manage and support a team of Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Therapists and practitioners
Develop and maintain service user pathways that are person-centred, strengths-based, and outcome-focused
Ensure all services comply with relevant legislation, safeguarding standards, and organisational policies
Manage budgets, reporting, and performance against key indicators
Build strong relationships with external partners, commissioners, and advocacy groups
Recruit, onboard, and evaluate staff members to create a strong and effective delivery team
Contribute to the design and delivery of training, workshops, and public awareness campaigns
Essential Criteria
Experience in service management or team leadership within health, education, social care, or a related setting
Strong understanding of neurodiversity and the barriers neurodivergent people may face
Excellent communication and people management skills
Experience managing projects or services that are inclusive and tailored to diverse needs
Ability to work collaboratively with professionals, families, and neurodivergent individuals
Commitment to promoting equality, accessibility, and co-production
Desirable Criteria:
Lived experience of neurodivergence
Relevant qualification in social work, education, psychology, occupational therapy, or related field
Knowledge of relevant frameworks (e.g., SEND Code of Practice, Autism Act, Equality Act)
Experience working with commissioners or funding bodies
