Overview

Every Care at Home are seeking multiple night carers to join our team of dedicated carers based in Warwickshire.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, care homes, and assisted living facilities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalised care and companionship.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patient health. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities. Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for effective case management. Implement behaviour management techniques as needed. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.

Skills

Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques. Experience in nursing home or care home settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia care practices. Familiarity with senior care principles and medication administration. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to caregiving. Experience in home care environments is an asset. Ability to perform patient care tasks with compassion and respect. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families. Capability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. Valid driving licence for transportation duties.
