As Night Porter key responsibilities include:
Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
Assuming Night Manager tasks, as required, when the Night Manager is dealing with priorities on shift
Arranging collection, delivery and storage of guest luggage, maintaining the cleanliness of public areas during the night
Providing general security in the Hotel and carrying security back up procedures, as requested and informing the Night Manager of issues to ensure that they are dealt with effectively
Cashing up procedures
Following the check in and check out policy procedures for guests arriving late or departing early
Answering the phone during the night, collecting breakfast orders and providing lounge and room service, charging as appropriate to guest accounts
Ensuring the restaurant is set up and prepared for Breakfast
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a quality hotel
Experience of Night shift
Excellent communications skills
The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, 'can do' attitude
Excellent customer service skills
Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Opera
Ability to work 4 night shifts out of 7 on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 2300-0730, flexibility is required, based on business needs
