Tuddenham Mill is a small business in Bury St. Edmunds. We are professional and agile.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive personality to become our Night Porter at Tuddenham Mill. This is an essential, sole worker role within our business working through the night to look after the welfare of our overnight guests and to ensure that our venue is turned round between weddings and events. Someone that can ensure the venue is clean, presentable and re set for the next day.

Responsibilities:

To be the responsible person between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am, maintaining all operational needs throughout the night whilst safeguarding the security of the venue and all its occupants, with a full awareness of health and safety procedures. To clean and set up the venue to basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Ensuring that function rooms are cleaned and prepared for the following function which involves moving and lifting furniture and equipment. To respond to guest issues as needed and appropriate. To patrol all areas of the venue on foot to guard against theft, vandalism and fire. Locking and unlocking all the main access doors to the building. Reacting to incidents and emergencies and recording in detail. To be aware of fire and health and safety policy and procedures and ensure safe evacuation of the venue in the event of a fire, liasing with emergency services where required. To carry out any reasonable task that may be required by management.
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given but previous guest facing experience and a good standard of both written and spoken English is must.

Due to the location of our venue, you must be able to drive.

Pay: From 13.50 per hour
