Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Porter to join our Night team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across our premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, supporting various cleaning. Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory; we provide training for the right candidate. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential qualities for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Guest services:

Check guests in and out and process payments. Provide assistance to late-arriving guests. Take and relay telephone messages. Deliver room service or newspapers to guests' rooms.

Security and safety:

Conduct regular security patrols of the premises. Monitor access to the hotel. Ensure fire exits and other areas are clear. Respond to alarms and emergency situations. Monitor CCTV cameras.

Hotel operations:

Perform cleaning and tidying of public areas like the lobby and dining room. Set up function rooms for the following day. Assist with closing duties, such as securing cash. Complete night audit and other administrative tasks. Handle deliveries.

Administrative duties:

Prepare a handover report for the next shift. Log any incidents, accidents, or maintenance issues.

Required skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and handle pressure. Strong observational skills for security and safety. Physical fitness for tasks like carrying luggage and cleaning. Attention to detail.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 27 - 36 per week
