As a Night Porter, you're the quiet strength that keeps everything running smoothly while the world sleeps. You're the first line of support for guests arriving late, the eyes and ears of the hotel, and the one who ensures every detail is in place for the morning. While most are winding down, you're ramping up to provide top-notch service, security, and efficiency.
OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE -
A friendly, approachable presence that ensures guests feel at ease around the clock
Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to collaborate effectively overnight alongside a colleague
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude when engaging with guests or team members
Previous experience in a guest-facing role is desirable
IMPLEMENTING OUR 'YES YOU CAN' PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL -
Assist with the Night Audit, ensuring all reports and records are accurate and up to date
Handle security and emergency procedures like a pro, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times
Provide a clear and detailed handover to the early staff/Duty Manager, keeping operations smooth
Conduct Health & Safety checks and Night Walks, ensuring everything is in top shape
Assist with the setup and preparation of the breakfast service to deliver a seamless guest experience
Carry out cleaning tasks in all hotel public areas to maintain high hygiene and presentation standards for the day ahead
Ensure the meeting rooms are set up to the required standards for forthcoming functions.
Handle room service orders such as sandwiches or bar drinks for in house guests during the night.
