Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual who is attentive to detail and possesses strong interpersonal skills.

This role is 10 hour shifts Monday to Friday 9pm until 7am, (10pm - 8am Saturday and Sunday) on a 4 on 4 off rota.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness in all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms. Assist with the movement of furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed for Conference and Events setup. Ensure that all waste is disposed of properly and recycling procedures are followed. Respond promptly to requests from staff or guests for assistance or information, this is across all hotel services. Monitor and restock supplies in common areas to ensure availability. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Keep general overnight security aty the property to a high level. Uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift items when necessary. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
