Anderson's is a residential care service in Elgin. We provide a range of care and support services for our older residents, some of whom have dementia. Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own!

We have two support worker vacancies available to be employed on a permanent basis. Average hours to work a week are 32.5 hours or 35 hours, these are worked over a 4-week period working night shift, which includes working every second weekend.

SVQ Level 2 in Care or working towards is desirable though not essential. Consideration will be given to anyone who can demonstrate:

a warm and caring approach with good verbal and written communication skills together with an ability to work on your own initiative. Genuine interest in, and experience of working with older persons Good communication skills An appreciation of need for confidentiality are a Team Player
If you do not already hold an SVQ Level 2 it is essential that you are committed to work towards attaining your SVQ Level 2 within the first eighteen months of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to residents during the night shift, ensuring their safety and comfort. Monitor and document changes in residents' health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the shift leader. Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
You should be SSSC registered or able to commit to registering before completion of three months of employment.

Our Home is staffed 24/7 and we have a variety of shifts in operation.

Rate of pay is:

12.85 per hour
