Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexibility required during peak trading events such as Valentine's, Mother's Day, and Christmas)

talented and passionate NPD Gifting Developer

to join our growing Product & Marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a flair for creativity, commercial awareness, and a deep understanding of what makes consumers tick.

The Role

As an

NPD Gifting Developer

, you'll take the lead on creating trend-led, commercially successful gifting ranges -- from concept through to launch.

You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and retail customers to deliver innovative, sustainable, and beautifully executed gifting products. Combining creativity with strong project management and technical awareness, you'll help shape the future of MM Flowers' gifting category.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

Develop trend-led, commercially viable gifting products from idea to shelf. Use consumer insights and market data to identify new opportunities. Create product proposals, mock-ups, and prototypes for customer presentations. Present new ranges and innovation concepts with confidence and creativity.

Supplier & Customer Collaboration

Build strong relationships with suppliers across the UK, Europe, and the Far East. Ensure sustainability and ethical sourcing principles are applied throughout development. Partner with retail customers to deliver bespoke, on-brand gifting solutions. Support Procurement teams with supplier negotiations, pricing, and feasibility.

Project Management & Critical Path Delivery

Manage end-to-end product development, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Own all aspects of artwork, packaging development, and approval processes. Maintain critical paths and oversee progress through to successful product launch. Coordinate customer artwork approvals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.

Packaging & Quality Control

Collaborate with the NPD Packaging Developer to design functional, sustainable packaging. Support packaging validation, transit testing, and first production sign-offs. Ensure all products meet MM Flowers' and customer quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Technical, Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams. Participate in customer range reviews and post-launch evaluations. Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and innovation ideas.

About You

You're a creative, commercially minded professional who thrives in a fast-paced, design-led environment. You combine strong aesthetic sensibility with excellent organisation and communication skills, and you're passionate about delivering products that make people smile.

Essential Skills & Experience

Degree in Design, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience developing consumer gifting, homeware, hardware, or cosmetics products. Strong understanding of market trends, materials, and sustainable product innovation. Experience managing product development from concept through to launch. Excellent communication, presentation, and retailer-facing experience. Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and process accuracy.

Desirable

Experience sourcing from UK, European, and Far East suppliers. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, etc.). Experience within FMCG, retail gifting, or food-related product categories. Knowledge of compliance, risk assessment, and safety standards.
