You will oversee clinical standards, support nursing and care teams, and ensure that residents receive the best possible care and support in line with CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Home Manager in managing the daily operations of the care home.
Provide strong clinical leadership to the care and nursing teams.
Maintain high standards of care and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Support, mentor, and develop staff to ensure professional growth and competence.
Conduct assessments, reviews, and care planning to meet residents' needs.
Oversee medication administration and ensure all documentation is accurate.
Support audits, inspections, and the implementation of quality improvement plans.
Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a
care home setting
as a Nurse or Deputy Manager.
Excellent
clinical skills
and knowledge of best care practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Experience using
Person Centred Software (PCS)
is advantageous (training provided).
Ability to lead by example and promote a culture of compassion and respect.
Qualifications Required
Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN)
qualification.
Valid NMC PIN
(required).
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
