Summary
We are seeking an Administrator to join our team at Sunshine Children's Centre in Burgh Le Marsh. This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations within our nursery, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional care and education for children. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our staff and enhancing the overall experience for families.
Responsibilities
Financial:
Invoicing monthly via the nursery management software system & the monthly collection of direct debits, childcare vouchers, tax free childcare.
Ensuring accounts are up to date and accurate, including direct debt management
Responsible for forecasting and budgeting.
Ensure the Early Years funding is claimed correctly on a monthly basis and submitted to the council within the omitted time scales.
Monitor & track Funding payments and highlight any anomalies immediately to the management team.
Post payments to the children's accounts to ensure accuracy of accounts
Monthly review with Manager regarding debt, payments and collections
Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
Producing a monthly finance report to the Committee
Experience of using payroll programmes
Maintain the Village Hall diary, bookings and invoices
General Administrative Duties:
Maintaining family and account records on the nursery computer programme
Dealing with any parents account queries swiftly & efficiently
Maintaining accurate and confidential staff, children's, and parent's records
Managing supplies and ordering
Answering the telephone and the door
Handle phone and in person inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Occasional cover in children's rooms
Qualifications
Proven office experience, preferably in an administrative role.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong finance background
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Effective phone etiquette and communication abilities
Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is preferred
