We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Nursery Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience and nursery administrative skills, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities. This role is essential for maintaining effective communication within the nursery organisation and managing various clerical tasks efficiently.
Duties
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Nursery
Manage phone calls and emails, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
Perform data entry tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain organised electronic filing systems
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations using Microsoft Office
Handle basic bookkeeping tasks using Xero as required
Support team members with clerical duties, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard
Coordinate meetings and appointments, managing calendars effectively
Preparing monthly payroll
All staff HR
Keeping petty cash records
Communicating pleasantly and effectively in writing and on the telephone
Calendarising key admin events
Skills
Proven office experience with a strong background in administrative roles
Maintaining family and account records on nursery computer software
Proficient computer skills, including typing speed and accuracy
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Xero accounting is advantageous but not mandatory
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail in data entry and document management
Demonstrated clerical experience with a focus on maintaining confidentiality
Must haves
Good experience working with multiple systems and software
Excellent customer skills (Phone and email)
Financial accounting (basic)
Experience in Admin/finance in Children's Nursery sector e.g. Funding
Highly numerate/accurate with numbers
Nice to haves
Familiarity with Famly nursery software
Have a driving license with MS Office software, esp. Excel and Work, and Sharepoint
Familiarity with Xero accounting software
Familiarity with Freshdesk/Email/Query ticketing system
