Star Bright Day Nursery has an opportunity to become part of a fun and dynamic team.
We are currently seeking a nursery apprentice to join the team.
As a Nursery apprentice you will be a flexible member of staff who will work in all areas of the nursery providing you with the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience.
Hours: 7:15 - 5:30 or 8-6pm
Full time: Monday - Friday
Part time: 3 days a week
You will:
Provide high standards of care within the Nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
Ensure that children are kept safe and when necessary follow safeguarding procedures.
Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met and the Food Safety Regulations are complied with.
Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
What experience must I have in order to apply?
Previous childcare experience is preferred but not essential

Star Bright Day Nursery is committed to ensuring everyone within the nursery is responsible for Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure. This post is exempt from The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
As part of the apprenticeship, you will be working towards your Level 2 or Level 3 (dependent upon experience) Year Early Educator qualification as well as any required Functional Skills with ABM Training.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Basic understanding of child development principles
- Willingness to learn and undertake training as required
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies and procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
