Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, designing a nutritious menu for children under the age of 5 years of age and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes while adhering to food safety standards. Creating nutritious weekly menu's Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Work with team members to ensure the dietary requirements for all children are catered for Monitor stock levels and ordering as required Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Strong cookery skills, including food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.
The setting will provide the opportunity to complete Level 2 in Food Safety and Level 2 Food allergy awareness training.

It will be an requirement to have an enhanced DBS carried out

The setting is closed for two weeks in the summer, a week at Christmas and a week at Easter

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
