Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and nutritious offering for our clients. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure efficient food service operations. Handle food items with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed. Provide excellent customer service during meal service, catering events, or dining experiences. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation. Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings. Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in the food industry with experience in cooking, meal preparation, and fine dining service. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience in menu planning and catering is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed within the kitchen environment.
