This is a great opportunity to join our small, friendly team, near Fiveways in Brighton.

The role of nursery cook is to plan, prepare and cook nutritionally balanced, age appropriate meals for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.

Working closely with the nursery manager/owner to produce a tasty, seasonal menu, reflecting the time of year and availability of fresh produce.

Ensuring adequate stocks of all required ingredients are kept; planning, budgeting and ordering weekly supplies.

Liaising with nursery staff to cater for all individual dietary requirements on a daily basis.

Ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment is maintained, adhering to relevant Food Hygiene legislation.

Maintaining satisfactory records of correct temperatures for foods both in storage and ready to serve.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
