Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and effective communication during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills.
