Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during peak hours Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing creativity to the culinary offerings Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring customer satisfaction with presentation and taste Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or needs for replenishment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen setting Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques Familiarity with food safety standards and practices to ensure compliance Previous working in a school or nursery kitchen experience is advantageous, enhancing teamwork and service skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
