Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences as well as following government guidelines to safer eating. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques, and culinary best practices. Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Strong communication skills, enabling effective teamwork within the kitchen.
