A small, busy nursery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to be part of a small team leading the nursery and ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strong background in early childhood education, and the ability to effectively manage staff alongside fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Duties
Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
Assist in leading and supporting a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance for development and training.
Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates, and involvement in nursery activities.
Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Monitor children's progress and development through regular assessments and observations.
Assist in managing nursery budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience within a nursery environment.
A Full and Relevant Childcare Qualification.
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Experience of working with children in a nurturing capacity is essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to motivate staff while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
