What You'll Be Doing
As Deputy Manager, you'll:
Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
Be a trusted key holder and step confidently into leadership in the Manager's absence
Coach and inspire the team to deliver outstanding practice
Lead on learning and development strategies for children and staff
Champion our inclusive, outdoor-rich, child-led curriculum
Build strong, positive relationships with families and the wider community
Help drive enrolment and build the nursery's local reputation
Stay up to date with legislation and be a safeguarding champion across the setting
What We're Looking For
We're searching for a motivated, reflective leader with the passion and purpose to deliver exceptional outcomes for children, families and staff.
You'll need:
A
Level 3 or above
Early Years qualification
2+ years' experience
in a nursery setting, with previous leadership experience
Strong understanding of the
EYFS
, safeguarding and best practice
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team leadership skills
The ability to inspire, support and develop others
A calm, flexible approach with a "solutions not problems" mindset
An enhanced
DBS check
(or willingness to obtain one)
