Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, staff management, and the implementation of educational programmes.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies. Support the development and implementation of high-quality early childhood education programmes that promote children's learning and development. Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children, staff, and parents by maintaining open lines of communication. Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Ensure that all health and safety standards are met within the nursery setting. Manage daily operations, including scheduling staff shifts and overseeing the allocation of resources. Engage with parents and caregivers to build strong relationships and encourage their involvement in nursery activities. Monitor children's progress and well-being, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education is crucial. Ability to demonstrate initiative, drive, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of best practices in childcare and early years education is an advantage.
