Salary: 28,392 per annum + Qualification Bonus:

400 Qualification Recognition bonus

to all our Level 3 Practitioners across all our Nurseries.


This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognized for your qualifications and contributions. (based on a 40hr working week, bonus will be pro-rota for part time staff)


Coton Day Nursery are seeking a Deputy Manager to join them on a permanent basis,


This would be a great opportunity for a current Deputy Manager or an experienced room leader or third in charge to step up into a Deputy Manager role. As the Deputy Manager, you will be working closely with the Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running, and quality of the setting ensuring high qualities activities and providing exemplary care to our children. The Ideal candidate will have some leadership experience and the drive to make a difference every day.


About Coton Day Nursery




Coton Day Nursery is a small and homely setting in beautiful village of Coton in Cambridgeshire. We are located on Whitwell Way within the grounds of Coton CoE Primary School.


As a nursery we have friendly small team made up of 7 members of staff and are looking for someone special to come and join the family. The nursery has a capacity for 24 children per day across 2 age groups (under 2's and over 2's). We are very proud to be rated GOOD by Ofsted and as a team work together to maintain and stive for excellence every day.


As a member of our team you will be supported from day one with a thorough induction and ongoing support, access to ongoing training and development opportunities, discount on childcare costs with 75% discount off nursery fees for our team member's, and regular wellbeing boosts/ treats within the nursery.


Our nursery is open from 7:30am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times.

Within this role, you will:




Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery. Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions. Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency. Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice. Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file. Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

For this role, you will need:


Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential Leadership experience - Essential Over 1 years' experience of working in Early Years - Essential Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential Over 1 years' experience of working in a management position - Desirable. Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
