Job Overview
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role requires effective communication with staff, parents, and children, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of all children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Nursery Manager in overall leadership and management of the nursery.
Ensure standards of high care and education in line with EYFS.
Oversee daily operations including staffing, ratios and compliance.
Lead and motivate staff team to deliver high quality learning experiences.
Take charge in absence of Nursery Manager.
Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are consistently followed as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Build strong relationships with children, staff and families and the wider community.
Assist in planning, observing and evaluating activities and progress.
Work towards Development Plan targets to drive the standards upwards and result in Outstanding practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
Experience in a management role is desirable.
Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development and safeguarding policies.
At least 2 years experience in nursery setting with level of leadership responsibility.
Deputy Manager experience is desirable.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
First aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
An enhanced DBS check.
Passionate, reliable and committed to providing high standards of care and education
GCSE's or equivalent in English & Maths
