We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team in a vibrant nursery setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that high standards of care and education are maintained.
Responsibilities
Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery.
Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of early childhood education.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their child's progress.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs of children.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of health and safety within the nursery.
Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in childcare practices and staff development.
Foster a positive environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Manage administrative tasks, including record keeping, staff scheduling, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification of at least Level 3 Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
Proven 2 years experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is required.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development.
Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery.
Knowledge of current best practices in early childhood education is advantageous.
