Summary



We are seeking a passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team at Little Harriers. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. This position is vital in shaping the experiences of our children and supporting staff development.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality childcare and enjoys outdoor learning experiences.

Our nursery boasts onsite woodlands, smaller group sizes from birth to three. We are a family run nursery with a passionate and dedicated team of professionals.

The position is based on three or 4 days shifts 7:45am-6:15pm all year round, there will also be occasional overtime with staff meetings and training.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring a high standard of care and education is provided. Develop and implement effective policies and procedures in line with Ofsted requirements. Monitor children's progress and ensure their individual needs are met through tailored learning experiences. Support staff training and development, encouraging continuous professional growth. Engage with parents and families to foster strong relationships and effective communication. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.

Requirements



Level 3 qualification in early years childcare is essential; further qualifications (Level 4 or 5) are desirable. Proven experience in nursery management or a similar role within early years education. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and external agencies. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies.
