Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
The position is paid and suitable for those eager to gain practical experience in a kitchen setting.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Support the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain a safe and tidy workspace. Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory. Experience working in a kitchen or catering setting will be advantageous. Knowledge of hygiene standards within food service environments is beneficial. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
This role is between the hours of 13:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Work Location: In person
