Hours: Monday-Friday - 10:00am - 2:00pm
Contract: Term-time only (39 weeks/year) with an additional 9 days available during school holidays

About Dingley's Promise - Poole
At Dingley's Promise Poole, we create a warm, inclusive environment where children aged 0-5 with SEND can learn, grow, and thrive. Through personalised, play-based approaches, we support every child's development while offering practical guidance to families and working with mainstream settings to foster inclusive education.
The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our centre and in the progress of every child you support. Acting as a Key Person, you'll plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to individual needs, nurture strong relationships with families, and collaborate closely with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating play environment
Plan and lead inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities
Act as a Key Person--observe, assess, and support personalised learning
Build positive, trusting relationships with families and carers
Contribute to reports for EHCPs and EHCNA requests
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and occasional fundraising activities
What We're Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development (or working towards it)
A compassionate, non-judgmental approach to working with children and families
Solid understanding of play-based learning in early childhood
Ability to adapt to diverse and individual needs
Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practices
Commitment to continued professional growth
Desirable:
Experience supporting children with SEND
Understanding of EHCP processes and documentation
Additional Information
Occasional cover work at nearby centres may be available (by agreement)
Participation in up to four voluntary fundraising events annually (with payment for any additional events)
