You will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, ensuring high standards across learning, safety, staffing, and family engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the culture and quality of a setting where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and flourish.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all operational aspects of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements
Design and oversee the implementation of a high-quality EYFS-aligned curriculum
Manage staffing, including recruitment, development, and performance management
Monitor budgets, ordering, documentation, and nursery records to ensure efficiency
Maintain robust safeguarding procedures and promote a safe, inclusive environment
Build strong, professional relationships with parents, carers, and external partners
Promote the nursery within the local community to support occupancy growth
Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture for staff and families
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years Education or Childcare
Proven experience in a senior or management role within an early years setting
In-depth knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory compliance
Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
Desirable:
Experience managing nursery budgets and administrative processes
Familiarity with nursery management software and systems
Track record of successful Ofsted inspections
